  • Option 1: Sit Back and Be Surprised

    I will do all the work! This includes everything from shopping for supplies, building the design elements, and organizing all the final details. If I run into any obstacles or changes in the design, I will run them by you before moving forward. Otherwise all the work will be done for you, saving you time, hassle and stress.

  • Option 2: Get Involved

    I will work WITH you! The big benefit of this option is that I will teach the skills needed to complete the project as we go, and help build confidence in your ability to tackle projects around the rest of your home. I will explain everything from how to know what to buy, where to start with your builds, and the details needed to take your projects from DIY to professional.

  • Option 3: Virtual Help

    This is a great option if you want to do all the work, but just don’t know where to start. Whether you need help with a design, questions about how to build, or run into problems along the way, I will be available through Zoom to help walk you through any questions. This service is $20/hour.

What is the Process?

  • Step 1: Complementary Consultation

    Whether you already have an exact picture in your head or you want me to completely design your space, we will discuss the main aspects of your project. I will ask questions to ensure we create a beautiful space that functions at its best and meets your unique style and budget.

  • Step 2: Digital Design

    Once the consultation is complete, I research and establish a mood board, sketch, or digital design. I also provide an estimated budget for the space. A flat rate of $150 is charged to cover the time and research completed during this process.

  • Step 3: Confirm the Hire!

    Finally, we will meet to go over the final design, discuss any edits, and decide if you’d like to move forward. Then we will get your project scheduled!

Cost Breakdown

Project Fees are Made up of Four Components:

1: Design Fee—$150

This is the flat rate fee for coming up with the design and budget of your project. I will spend hours researching the best methods and ideas for your space so you don’t have to!

2: Work Rate—$40/hour

Whether you choose to have me independently complete the project, or if you’d like to get involved, this $40/hour rate covers time shopping for materials and working directly on your project.

For those looking to save, working with me cuts down on the hours I spend on a project AND helps you master skills to tackle the rest of your home!

3: Material Cost—Varies by Project

The cost of materials is separate from my hourly rate. Upon hire, you will pay the estimated materials cost up front. This allows me to purchase all the materials necessary for your project.

Once the project it finished, I will provide copies of all receipts and will return any extra money. If there are any leftover materials, you will get to decide if you want to keep them or donate them to future projects.

4: Travel Fee—Varies by Distance

I currently work out of Virginia, but I love to travel and am open to projects anywhere. If I have to travel more than 30 minutes for your project, we can discuss a reasonable travel fee. This usually consists of gas mileage/plane ticket reimbursement, and lodging/meals if necessary. I am not looking to make money from this, just not lose it!
